“Ulaanbaatar, the capital and largest city in Mongolia, currently relies on several dozen national government bodies, municipal departments, international donors, private sector agencies and local non-profits for housing delivery. This bureaucratic maze has led to haphazard ger sprawl and a financially inequitable housing stock in and around the periphery of the city. This week, AHI authored an affordable housing strategy for the government of Ulaanbaatar, identifying areas where a consolidated housing authority could better address housing accessibility amidst urban growth.”
