” After having visited several of the poor settlements in the three cities of Chandpur, Narayanganj and Mymensingh, we started to develop the structure and components of what the Urban Poverty Profile would turn into. This will not only guide our analysis as we dig into the data, but also let us show the findings in an organized way that can be easy for anyone to understand and help inform future urban planning and decision-making. The structure we came up was the following:
URBAN POVERTY PROFILE
CITY OVERVIEW
POVERTY OVERVIEW
INFRASTRUCTURE
HOUSING
WELLBEING
ACTION
After having come up with the general structure, we continued the process of understanding and analyzing the poverty of the three cities, mainly focusing on the city of Chandpur.”
